The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is asking the public for help finding the driver responsible for moving road closed signs on KY 1772 in Hickman County and driving through freshly poured concrete on the Bowles Creek Bridge sometime Friday afternoon.
The incident will reportedly require the bridge to remain closed through much of this week.
The cabinet says that in addition to several hundred dollars in fines, whoever caused the damage is responsible for $4,000 to $6,000 required to replace a week’s worth of work for the KYTC District 1 bridge crew.
Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to contact the KYTC Paducah Office at 270-898-2431, the Hickman County Sheriff's Department, or the Kentucky State Police Mayfield Post.
