A winter storm is forecast to impact the region starting Friday afternoon and continue into early Sunday. While it is still too early to forecast specific snowfall amounts, they anticipate the greatest potential snowfall accumulation over southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and the Ohio River counties in western Kentucky.
The time period of greatest concern is Friday night into early Saturday morning. The snow is forecast to mix with or change over to rain on Saturday as temperatures warm through the 30s.
Precipitation should mix with or change back over to snow from the northwest Saturday night before ending on Sunday.
