Princeton Man Charged With Assault, Strangulation

A Princeton man is facing assault and strangulation charges after turning himself in.

According to WKDZ, Princeton Police were called to Dawson Road after receiving a report of an assault and strangulation causing minor injury to the victim. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

On Tuesday, 42-year-old Billy D. Waynick reportedly called the police department to speak with officers. Waynick then voluntarily arrived at the police department and was taken into custody.

Waynick was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. He is being charged with fourth degree assault, and first degree strangulation.
