A traffic stop this past weekend by the Fulton County Sheriff's Department resulted in the arrest of a Clarksville, TN man on drug and other charges.
According to KYTN, a deputy stopped a swerving vehicle on the Purchase Parkway, driven by 29-year-old John Mathew Irvin. Following the traffic stop, he told deputies that he was driving with a suspended license.
Irvin also told deputies that he was in possession of a handgun, and he agreed to a search of the vehicle. The Fulton County K-9 Unit alerted to possible drugs in the car, and a container of methamphetamine and heroin was allegedly located.
Irvin was taken into custody on charges of enhanced possession of methamphetamine and heroin, along with reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license.
