The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for tonight and Sunday with a chance for enough rain to cause spot flooding.

There is a chance of thunderstorms late today and tonight. A couple of strong storms capable of gusty winds cannot be ruled out, mainly over a small part of southeast Missouri into far western Kentucky late tonight. Otherwise the main hazard will be locally heavy rain.

During the day Sunday, showers and a few thunderstorms will be accompanied by heavy rainfall, especially along the Ohio and Wabash Rivers east into western Kentucky and southwest Indiana during the day Sunday. Some localized flooding or even flash flooding cannot be ruled out.

A Flood or Flash Flood Watch may eventually be needed.

Rain will end Sunday night and bring sunshine Monday along with highs in the upper 40s.
