The National Weather Service in Paducah says isolated thunderstorms will be part of the daily forecast for a warm and muggy Memorial Day weekend.

That includes a marginal chance for severe storms to develop this afternoon in southeast Missouri, with isolated occurences of damaging winds and large hail.

Otherwise, lightning and heavy rain are possible with any scattered thunderstorm in the area.

Rain chances, while not continuous, will range about 50 per cent each day through the holiday weekend.

High temperatures in the mid-80s will settle in the weekend and on through most of next week.
