Base officials said the person is a dependent of a military retiree, and recently traveled to Europe. The person is currently isolated at their home off-base.
The person has reportedly shown symptoms of the virus but has not required hospitalization.
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital health professionals have begun contact tracing to determine whether anyone else may have been exposed.
This marks the second person to test positive for the virus at the military base.
The first is also a a dependent of a retiree, and is also isolated at an off-base home. That patient's diagnosis was announced Thursday.
