Semi Fire Blocks Eastbound Lanes of I-24

A semi tanker truck fire is blocking the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 at the 57-mile marker near the Caldwell-Trigg County Line.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the fuel truck fire and emergency response effort have both eastbound lanes blocked.

The estimated duration of the closure is four hours.

Vehicles are being detoured via the KY 139 Cadiz-Princeton Exit 56 Interchange. Traffic can follow KY 139 South to Cadiz, then east on US 68 to return to I-24 at Exit 65.
