Sheriff: Lock Vehicles to Prevent Easy Thefts

Some recent thefts from vehicles have prompted a local sheriff to give a familiar reminder - lock your vehicles. 

A Friday morning Facebook post by the Hickman County Sheriff's Department says they have received several reports of thefts on Thursday night and Friday morning.  

The post says, "Last night someone was busy going around getting in vehicles and taking whatever valuables were left in them."  

The statement says no vehicles were broken into, the thefts were only from unlocked vehicles.  

Details on any of the reported thefts have not been released.
