State Police Looking for Calloway County Escapee

Kentucky State Police are searching for an escapee from a Calloway County work crew. 

State Police say they were notified at 12:45 pm Thursday that Henry M. Rickard, Jr., had driven from a Calloway County work detail. Jail staff told troopers that Rickard was last seen in a Calloway County Road Department vehicle near Sycamore Industrial Road in Murray.  

State Troopers say they found the abandoned truck near Buchanan, in Weakley County, Tennessee. Authorities in that state have joined in the search. Rickard has family in west Tennessee. 

Rickard is described as a white male, 5'7" tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He has salt-and-pepper hair and brown eyes. He was jailed on drug and weapons charges, so police say he should be considered dangerous. 

If anyone spots Rickard, they should not approach him, but should contact Kentucky State Police or call 911.
