Three people were arrested in Mayfield Sunday on drug and theft charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers found a car parked at the old KBL grocery store on West Broadway, with three men asleep inside. Officers said when they made contact with the men, they could smell marijuana coming from inside the car.

A computer check revealed that the car had been stolen from Enterprise Rental Car in Paducah. The three men were detained and the car searched. Police said marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found inside the car.

Police arrested 25-year-old Durant Randolph of Ridgeland, SC and charged him with receiving stolen property $10,000 or more, possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence. Randolph was also charged with theft of identity for giving police his cousin's identification. He was also served with two warrants from McCracken County.

Also arrested were 23-year-old Shane Chaneyfield and Samson Adams, both of Paducah. They were both charged with receiving stolen property $10,000 or more and possession of marijuana.

All three were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
