A Marshall County teenager was airlifted to Nashville after a collision Friday morning.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 641 and Tatumsville Highway (KY 1422) at 11:15 am. An investigation at the scene showed that 16-year-old Michael Schuh of Benton was westbound on Tatumsville Highway and stopped at the intersection. Fifty-two-year-old Kathy A. Klatt of Benton was driving north on Highway 641 when she said Schuh pulled out into her path, and she was unable to avoid hitting him.

A PHI Helicopter airlifted Schuh from the scene and took him to Vanderbilt hospital for treatment of his injuries. Klatt and others involved were taken to Marshall County Hospital by Marshall County EMS for treatment.

Highway 641 was blocked for 2-3 hours while the scene was cleared.
