Three Graves County residents were arrested Tuesday on drug possession and trafficking charges.

The Graves County Sheriff's Department says a detective stopped to check on a vehicle that was parked at the Graves County Soccer Association property early Tuesday. While speaking to 46-year-old Larry Duncan of Melber and 39-year-old Shona Sharp of Mayfield, the detective learned that Duncan allegedly had a concealed handgun. Police say a subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of methaphetamine and drug paraphernalia along with a .380 handgun.

Duncan was arrested for possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Sharp was charged with public intoxication.

In a separate incident, deputies executed a search warrant at the home of 33-year-old Maurc Reaves on State Highway 303 between Mayfield and Sedalia. Deputies say they found about six pounds of marijuana, a loaded .22 handgun, and over $26,000 that is believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Reaves was arrested for firearm enhanced trafficking in marijuana over five pounds (2nd offense), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three people were taken to Graves County Jail.
