Three people face custodial interference and other charges after children were reportedly taken from a home in Ballard County.

The Ballard County Sheriff's Office says deputies got a call on Wednesday about children that had been taken. While en route to the home, deputies saw a vehicle matching the description given by Ballard Dispatch. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified three people inside as 32-year-old Crystal McPeak of Oklahoma, 32-year-old Mistie Williams of Illinois and 28-year-old Timothy Ferguson, also of Oklahoma. Four children were also in the vehicle.

The investigation reportedly showed McPeak, Williams and Ferguson had left Oklahoma to pick up McPeak’s Children. However, McPeak’s mother was granted emergency custody of the children.

Deputies also found methamphetamine, methamphetamine smoking pipes, marijuana and marijuana smoking pipes. Williams was also reportedly under the influence at the time of the stop.

McPeak is charged with custodial interference, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ferguson is charged with custodial interference, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. Williams faces charges of DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, custodial interference, second degree wanton endangerment, and various traffic violations.
