Traffic Shift At KY Dam Work Zone Today

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a traffic shift Wednesday in Marshall County along the US 62 work zone between Calvert City and the 62/641 Interchange near Kentucky Dam Village State Park.

According to the Cabinet, traffic will be shifted to allow the contractor to complete roadway realignment and elevation work along the eastbound lanes of US 62.

The project includes widening the roadway travel lanes, a center turn lane, decorative median landscaping and a multi-use trail that will interconnect with trails in Calvert City and at Kentucky Dam Village.

Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $5.8 million project.
