A contractor plans a traffic shift on the US 68/KY 80 Eggners Ferry Bridge at Aurora beginning Monday afternoon.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says two-way traffic will be shifted onto the westbound lanes of the bridge to allow the placement of an epoxy urethane waterproofing overlay along the eastbound lanes of the bridge deck. This is expected to be the final round of work that started back in April.

The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete, weather permitting. The contractor will also be completing waterproofing work along the eastbound lanes of the Lagoon Bridge along the western shoreline of Kentucky Lake.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on the US 68/KY 80 Eggners Ferry Bridge throughout the work. The US 68/KY 80 intersection at the west end of the bridge corridor near Kenlake State Resort Park will continue to be a 4-Way Stop for the duration of the project.
