According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, on September 28 as part of an undercover investigation, detectives say they were able to arrange for the delivery of a large amount of illegal drugs to the Marshall County area.
On Saturday, officers stopped a vehicle being driven by 37-year-old Joshua A. Grisso of Campbellsville and passenger, 27-year-old Jamie A. Atwood also of Campbellsville, as it was approaching the Marshall County line.
After a search of the vehicle, detectives say that over 25 pounds of marijuana, over 1 pound of methamphetamine, 50 individual marijuana wax containers, drug paraphernalia, and other various items allegedly consistent with drug trafficking were seized.
Grisso and Atwood were placed under arrest and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Grisso is charged with first degree of trafficking in a controlled substance first offense greater than 2 grams, first offense of trafficking in marijuana greater than 5 pounds, first offense of trafficking in a controlled substance second degree greater than 20 doses, first offense of trafficking in synthetic drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Atwood is charged with first offense trafficking in a controlled substance first degree greater than 2 grams, first offense of trafficking in marijuana greater than 5 pounds, first offense of trafficking in a controlled substance second degree greater than 20 doses, first offense trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense possession of a controlled substance third degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
