A Livingston County pair were arrested Wednesday after a stabbing incident last week.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Office says deputies have arrested 40-year-old Marci Hoffman and 36-year-old Shane Hoffman, both of Grand Rivers, after an investigation that began last Friday.
Deputies said they responded to a report of a stabbing at 922 Rolling Meadows in Grand Rivers. Upon their arrival they encountered Shane Hoffman, who had a stab wound to his stomach.
The investigation reportedly showed Shane had been stabbed with a wood chisel during an argument with Marci, his ex-wife. After securing medical treatment for Shane, deputies went to Marci's home and found her with facial injuries due to a prior altercation.
Both suspects were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Marci was charged with second degree assault. Shane was charged with fourth degree assault.
Shane was released on his own recognizance due to still having severe injuries from the incident. Marci was booked into the McCracken County Jail.
