Two Facing Drug Charges in Carlisle After Search

Two were arrested in Carlisle County after numerous complaints of drug activity.

On Friday, the Carlisle County Sheriff's Office performed searches on two homes off State Route 849 in Cunningham. Deputies say the searches resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the search, Deputies arrested 40-year-old James Lupton and cited 72-year-old Richard Henderson to court due to health concerns.

Lupton is being charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited on two counts of license and permit violations, and two counts of illegal harvest of deer. Henderson is being charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
