Arrests were made Saturday after law enforcement were called about a suspicious couple.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Department, a deputy was called to Bell Road in Symsonia to investigate two suspicious people near an abandoned camper. After speaking to 28-year-old Marshall Dowdy of Hickory and 34-year-old Meagan Hatton of Boaz, the deputy believed they were under the influence of illegal drugs.

A search of Dowdy revealed a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, so he was arrested. Hatton was arrested when it was determined that she was wanted on a McCracken County bench warrant. A search of Hatton revealed she had marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Dowdy and Hatton were taken to Graves County Jail.
