Two teens were arrested Saturday on burglary charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers responded to a home on North 5th Street to a reported burglary in progress. After clearing the home and not finding anyone inside, officers were made aware of several items that had been taken from the home.

A witness came to the Mayfield Police Department, and advised that she had seen the stolen items at a home on Pryor Street. After obtaining a written statement from the witness, officers went to the home on Pryor Street and made contact with the occupants inside.

Two teens, 18-year-old Timothy Armistead and 18-year-old Dylan Sanchez were detained. Officers located the items stolen from the North 5th Street home.

Sanchez and Armistead were interviewed and both allegedly confessed to the burglary. Both Armistead and Sanchez were lodged in the Graves County Jail, charged with 2nd degree burglary and 2nd degree criminal mischief.
