The Tennessee Valley Authority is increasing its fuel adjustment charge by 0.7 percent in June. According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press a typical household power bill will rise 80 cents for the same amount of use. Police in Clarksville say a man who tried to rob a business was wrestled to the ground and held by store employees until police arrived. Power has been restored to about 12,000 people after a snake slithered into a Clarksville Department of Electricity substation and caused the outage.
