The event will take place around the park’s train depot and south lake and will feature local performers and bands along with bands from the University of Tennessee at Martin’s Department of Music. A limited number of picnic tables will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
In addition to the live entertainment, those attending the festival will be able to enjoy catch-and-release fishing from the lake, a stroll through the park, food trucks, a cash bar and more.
Admission is free for DPA members or those who purchase admission to the park that day and five dollars for non-members. Revenue generated will help offset the costs of refurbishing the 1916 Ford Model-T that will go on display in the fall.
Bands performing during the festival include: Mandy Vixen and Gas Station Chicken; Romeo and the Juliets; Keith and Steve; Kicking Keys; J.C. Clark and Linda and Jamie Jones and Jace Hargrove. Other entertainers include Jason Kizer, Katie Thorpe Tohn, Jim Bondurant, Chad Karnes and Phillip Coleman.
In a first-time collaboration, bands from the University of Tennessee at Martin will perform throughout the festival. Included will be the UTM Jazz Combo, the UTM Brazilian Choro Ensemble, Steelworks and Coffey and Carithers.
