Two Murray High School athletes made commitments to play college sports on Monday. James Boone will play college basketball at Samford University, while Tre Hornbuckle will play college football at Duke University. McCracken County High School has selected Calloway County Girls Basketball Coach Scott Sivills to be the next head coach of the Lady Mustangs basketball program. Sivills takes over for Josh Barnett, who led the Lady Mustangs in their first two seasons before resigning in April. Paducah Tilghman's boys track team captured the Class 2A state championship Friday in Lexington. The Blue Tornado defeated Ft. Thomas Highlands 81-80 at the University of Kentucky outdoor track facility. It's Tilghman's 29th state title in track and field.
