Burglary report in Kuttawa lands man in jail on drug, gun charges

A burglary report in Kuttawa on Tuesday landed one man in jail on drug and gun charges.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was called just before 7 p.m. Tuesday about as many as five people burglarizing an address on Wilderness Road. Eddyville Police and Kentucky State Police also responded. When they arrived, though, they only found 30-year-old Jacob G. Buchanan. Investigators believe Buchanan was hallucinating and under the influence of methamphetamine.

Police also located meth, marijuana, and firearms in the home.

Buchanan is facing charges of possession of meth and marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in addition to a false report of an incident to law enforcement.

Buchanan was taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center.
