Chance for severe storms Friday and Monday

After a mostly sunny day on Thursday with highs in the low 80's and breezy, we can expect showers and thunderstorms Friday.

There is a marginal (level 1) risk of severe weather over the region on Friday. Gusty winds and hail are the main threat. Southeast Missouri could see a slight (level 2) risk for severe storms.

Another chance of showers is forecast for Sunday. Temperatures all weekend will be in the upper 70s.

On Monday, a better organized threat for severe storms could return, but it's too far out to be more definitive.
