Material relating to child sexual abuse was allegedly shared online by a Murray man.
The Electronic Crime Branch of the Kentucky State Police reportedly found images of child exploitation being shared by a suspect, later identified as 32-year-old James Kylen Johnson of Murray. The undercover investigation prompted troopers to get and serve a search warrant at Johnson’s home on Tuesday. Electronics believed to have been used to share the images were taken to the KSP’s Forensic Lab to be examined.
Johnson is charged with distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12. KSP said the charges are Class-B felonies and could be result in ten to twenty years in prison. Johnson was booked into the Calloway County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing.
