Drug charges for Mayfield man in a reportedly stolen car in Murray

A Mayfield man will face drug charges in addition to theft after he was stopped driving a stolen vehicle in Murray.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office said they stopped a vehicle on North 12th Street on Saturday evening that had been reported stolen earlier in Paducah. During the stop, the driver was identified as 43-year-old Richard Heard of Mayfield. Heard was also allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

Heard was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property over $10,000 and possession of meth. He was booked into the Calloway County Detention Facility.
