Fire damages home in Marion Thursday

A Thursday afternoon fire damaged a home in Marion.

The Marion Fire Department told The Crittenden Press they were called to a home at 325 South Main Street around 1:30 pm.

Crews had the blaze under control within a short time and extinguished hot spots throughout the afternoon.

Firemen reported only minimal damage to the first and second floors of the home. The attic also sustained some fire and smoke damage, but the damage was confined to a limited area.
