WPKY reported during an appearance in Caldwell District Court a former city code enforcement officer, Alan Getz had a charge of tampering with public records dismissed. Getz also faces a charge of official misconduct, which he entered a not guilty plea.
Princeton Police began an investigation on September 10th after it was reported allegations had surfaced that Getz offered to waive a city business license in exchange for a woman engaging in conduct that could be perceived as an intimate relationship and that she agreed to the arrangement.
During the investigation, it was learned on September 3rd, the woman responded to a city Facebook post to criticize a city service.
In response, Getz requested that she pay her city business license and the woman then made a public post exposing the alleged proposition specifically naming Getz. He subsequently deleted the post in an attempt to conceal the arrangement.
Getz was fired from his job last month. He will appear in court again for a pre trial conference February 16th.
