Holiday travelers will find lower gas prices in the region

'Tis the season for lower gas prices in the region.

Triple A's East Central Gas Report finds the average price for gas this week is $2.42 per gallon, down a nickel from last week.  Paducah's average price is lower than the regional average at $2.37 per gallon.

Nationally, gas is selling on average at $2.85 per gallon, the cheapest it has been since December, 2020.
