The crash happened when a semi crashed into several other vehicles near the 91-mile marker in the construction zone. Hopkinsville Fire Department Captain Spokesman Payton Rogers confirmed to WKDZ that most of the 14 injured had neck or back injuries. He said one individual had some facial injuries. All of the injuries were reportedly non-life-threatening.
The crash and the response shut down both directions of the interstate. First responders from Hopkinsville and Christian County were assisted by crews from Clarksville, Montgomery County, Oak Grove, Fort Campbell, and Todd County.
