A Grand Rivers man was charged with breaking into a Paducah apartment and threatening a couple with a gun.

Paducah police said they responded to a home in the 3000 block of Clay Street on Wednesday night. A couple told officers that as they were entering their apartment, a man who appeared to be a black male caught the door and entered behind them.

The man allegedly pointed a gun at the couple and indicated he wanted to talk with them. He then allegedly placed the gun against the head of the male victim, and a struggle began.

During the fight, the suspect was hit in the face and lost control of the handgun.

Police said the male victim took the gun, ordered the suspect to leave and the suspect fled the apartment.

The couple said that the suspect had darkened his exposed skin with makeup to try to conceal his identity.

According to the police department, the female victim had received numerous messages from 54-year-old Martin J. Biehle, which violated an active Kentucky Protection Order.

Police said Biehle is also a defendant in a previous stalking case involving the same victim.

Biehle was arrested at his home in Grand Rivers, Ky. without incident.

He was charged with burglary, wanton endangerment, stalking, and intimidating a participant in a legal process.
