Marshall County pair arrested on drug charges

A Marshall County couple was arrested Saturday on drug related charges.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office said 44-year-old Jason Mathus was pulled over for a traffic stop and arrested.

He was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphanelia and traffic offenses.

A subsequent search of the Mathus home found evidence of drug trafficking and recovery of a firearm.

Mathus wife, 50-year-old Nanette Mathurs, was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance  (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

Jason Mathus was also served a summons for probation violation.
