Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the vehicle of 48-year-old Charles Freeman of Murray at about 8:30 p.m. Monday. A Marshall County Sheriff’s K-9 assisted with the stop, and after an open-air sniff, the dog hit on the possibility of drugs in the vehicle. The ensuing search reportedly located over 4 grams of methamphetamine and over 3 grams of cocaine. Deputies believe Freeman had been selling the drugs.
Freeman was charged with trafficking in meth and possession of cocaine in addition to traffic violations.
