One dead, several injured in Union City shooting

One person was killed and several others were injured in an early morning shooting Sunday in Union City.

Union City Police say 23-year-old Omariyon Harper, of Union City, was pronounced dead at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, following a shooting at the Volume Lounge on Railroad Street.

Union City Police officers and Obion County Sheriff's deputies were at the scene when gunshots were heard inside the building.

As authorities entered the building, just after 12:30 am, multiple victims were located suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say a person of interest in the shooting has been identified, and is being sought.

An investigation into the shooting is underway and anyone with information is asked to contact the Union City Police Department.
