Wawa is officially coming to Tennessee this year, and its first location will be in Clarksville.
The popular East Coast gas station chain known for its fresh food and hoagies announced that it is bringing seven locations to Tennessee this year, and the first opens in Clarksville on June 18.
The chain’s long-term goal is to bring 50 Wawas to the Volunteer State over the next decade, with about 35 associates at each store.
The family-owned company was in the milk and dairy farming business before opening their first Wawa Food Market in Pennsylvania in 1964.
Tennessee will be the 14th state to welcome the convenience and gas chain, following other southern states like Kentucky, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina and Georgia.
