A Wingo woman was arrested after Graves County detectives investigated possible elder abuse when suspicious transactions of money were drawn out of the account of a 78-year-old woman.
Detectives learned that 36-year-old Heather K. Cole had conducted thirty-six transactions where she transferred monies from the victim's account, and moved into an account she opened in another person's name, without that person's consent.
This left the elderly victim with an inability to purchase necessities or pay her bills.
The money stolen from the victim was ultimately transferred into the suspect's Cash App account and spent.
Cole was arrested at the Graves County Sheriff's office on Monday.
Cole has previous convictions for theft, bail jumping, and contempt of court.
