A weekend collision in Lone Oak ended with a man sent to the hospital and a woman facing felony charges.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Glenn Street on Sunday morning for a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

When they arrived, the deputies found the man who was driving the motorcycle with serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, but had to be transported to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.

Further investigation found that before the accident, 19-year-old Tavionna Edwards had chased after the man with a knife.

The sheriff’s office said Edwards then allegedly ran her vehicle into him intentionally while he was on the motorcycle.

Edwards was charged with assault, wanton endangerment and menacing. She was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
