A Paducah bar and restaurant has partially reopened after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.

Paducah Beer Werks said in a Monday Facebook post that it planned to open back up at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The business announced it would close on July 12, after revealing a possible virus exposure at the bar. An employee tested positive for the virus a few days later.

The reopening comes with some significant changes to how the bar will do business. They will only serve food to go, and will only allow outside dining for the foreseeable future. The dining room will remain closed for a few more weeks.

"We feel this is the safest way to provide great food and beer at this time. Our patio and tent area will be open during these hours with table service. Beer Werks will continue to make community safety a priority." The post said.
