Isolated Severe Thunderstorms Possible Today
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - Heavy rain, thunderstorms and minor flooding concerns are the order of the day for today.

The National Weather Service in Paducah says the heaviest rainfall is possible through this afternoon across western Kentucky and adjacent parts of southeastern Missouri and southern Illinois.

The chance for strong to severe thunderstorms will include the chance for isolated damaging wind gusts and hail.

Rain totals by later this afternoon could be up to 3 inches for all of western Kentucky, as well as extreme southern Illinois and northwest Tennessee.
If pockets of training thunderstorms form, they could cause isolated flooding problems.

Rain will end this evening, and sunshine returns Tuesday with a high in the 50s.

A light wintry mix is possible on Wednesday, with minimal anticipated impact.
