A Graves County woman was arrested and charged with trafficking following a traffic stop Sunday night.
Graves County Sheriff’s deputies spotted a motorcycle traveling above the speed limit and got in behind the rider. Reportedly, as the deputies were prepared to initiate the stop, the rider tossed some items aside into the road. A Kentucky State Police trooper and another deputy were close by and assisted in the search for the discarded items.
What they found was two baggies containing suspected methamphetamine and another with drug paraphernalia. The two baggies of meth weighed in at nearly 27 grams.
The rider of the motorcycle was later identified as 54-year-old Christy R. Hunter. Hunter was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, speeding, tampering with physical evidence, criminal littering, and a host of traffic violations.
