Man Accused of Hitting Paducah Officer Identified

PADUCAH, KY - A fugitive out of San Diego, California has been booked into the McCracken County Jail on charges related to an overnight accident that seriously injured Paducah Police Officer Austin Guill.

According to the McCracken County Jail, 48-year-old Terry R. Murray of San Diego, California was booked on first degree assault on a police officer, first degree fleeing or evading police and leaving the scene of an accident.

Additional charges include receiving stolen property under $10,000 and providing an officer a false name or address.

According to the jail, Murray is considered a homeless male with two children. He is said to be a plumber from the southern California area.

San Diego County California District Attorney's Office tells West Kentucky Star that Murray is wanted in California for two felony bench warrants, second degree burglary and petty theft with a prior.
